Due to a recent Windows 10 Security Update our Sensor Driver, DCAM, may crash when the Capture PC has been left on idol for 4-5 hours with no communication with the X-mind Trium and as a result the following error codes will display when taking a Panoramic\Cephalometric\CBCT image:

  • E13
  • Wait Sensor
  • E71
  • Dcam Application Windows Error
  • Sensor Cooling

These errors normally occur if the capture PC has been left on with no reboot for over 24 hours but more recently due to the Windows 10 update can occur as little as 4-5 hours of the PC being left on with no communication with the Trium.

Our Software Engineering Team is working on a Software Patch to resolve this problem to prevent Dcam application from crashing. Our remote support team will be in contact with your practice to apply the fix as soon as it is released.

If you are experiencing any of the errors mentioned above please reboot your Capture PC and relaunch the capture software.

How to identify DCAM crashing before launching the Trium Capture Software ? One symptom that will indicate if our DCAM driver is crashing in the background is your mouse timing out every 2 seconds ( as shown in video below). If you notice this is happening on your PC you may reboot the PC before taking your next image to avoid errors during acquisition.
